Official: Barcelona Announce First 2022/23 Signing

Catalan giants Barcelona have officially announced the arrival of an African international, who becomes the club's first signing ahead of next season.

The Blaugrana have confirmed the signing of Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie on a free transfer after he departed from AC Milan at the end of his contract last month.

On the club's website, the LaLiga giants reveal that Kessie will pen a four-year deal and will be unveiled as a new Barcelona player on Wednesday this week. 

The midfielder will have a €500 million (R8.4 billion) buyout clause included in his deal at the Camp Nou. 

Kessie made an impressive 223 appearances for the Rossoneri following his arrival in 2017, winning the Serie A in his final season at the club.
