Bayern Munich Boss Confused By Barcelona's Business

Bayern Munich Boss Confused By Barcelona's Business

Following their big-money acquisition of Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona have left Bayern Munich's boss baffled amid reports of their financial instability.

The Poland striker is the Blaugrana's fourth signing of this transfer window, and his is also the second time they have agreed to pay a substantial fee for a player in the past month.

Barca have been marred by financial troubles for the past couple of years, but despite their ongoing economic difficulties, the Spanish giants have been able to execute a string of transfer deals that seem to go against their budget.

The Catalans' recent spending is something that has puzzled Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann.

"It is the only club in the world that have no money, but then buy all the players they want," the German tactician said ahead of his side's pre-season friendly against Major League Soccer outfit D.C. United, as per the Daily Mail.

"I don't know how they do it. It's a bit strange, a bit crazy."

The five-time European champions have managed to lure Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen in on free transfers, but are reportedly unable to register them as Barca players just yet due to the club's monetary dilemma.

Following their arrivals, the club then agreed to pay Leeds United €58 million (R990 million) for Brazilian winger Raphinha, before securing Lewandowski's signature from the Bundesliga champions for €45 million (R789 million).

Both these signings came after Barca president Joan Laporta stated that the club's hands would be tied when it came to incomings in this window.
