Sundowns Should Let Go Of Their Players Freely – Reader’s Voice

Default

It has been a huge relief since Mamelodi Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe took the decision to intervene in the Percy Tau saga, following his pending move to Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 2017/2018 PSL footballer of the season has been linked with a move away from the Chloorkop based side following a successful campaign last season.

However, there always seems to be an issue whenever a Sundowns player want to leave the club, especially when an overseas deal is on the cards.

More or less of the same scenario transpired with Siboniso Gaxa,Katlego Mphela and Keagan Dolly in the past, as moves abroad for these former Downs players proved easier said than done.

Downs should have no problem in releasing players as they never encounter problems when acquiring players.

Holding players back can shine a negative light on the PSL and also hinder a player’s progress.

What are your thoughts, should Downs freely release their player when an overseas offer comes through?

Worst part it always make players look ill-mannered when they go awol, like how Katlego Mphela was painted a spoilt brat for that. It really has to stop. Football is a business and it shouldn't turn into a bitter fight when other clubs come for their players.

We don't hold on players is just that our own media turns against our pricing because they wants us to let players go for free. You must understand that we are paying our players good salaries so our media that are always jealousy and start these noise thing about us. They can go to hell

The sour truth is that, sundowns signs a certain player as an agreement that they going to use them for certain years, so any team that want the player must match the asking price, so as for advice those players fans feel they hardly done, next time they must sign a one season contract if they 2 much ambitious that they going to play abroad...
