Sundowns Should Let Go Of Their Players Freely – Reader’s Voice
It has been a huge relief since Mamelodi Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe took the decision to intervene in the Percy Tau saga, following his pending move to Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 2017/2018 PSL footballer of the season has been linked with a move away from the Chloorkop based side following a successful campaign last season.
However, there always seems to be an issue whenever a Sundowns player want to leave the club, especially when an overseas deal is on the cards.
More or less of the same scenario transpired with Siboniso Gaxa,Katlego Mphela and Keagan Dolly in the past, as moves abroad for these former Downs players proved easier said than done.
Downs should have no problem in releasing players as they never encounter problems when acquiring players.
Holding players back can shine a negative light on the PSL and also hinder a player’s progress.
What are your thoughts, should Downs freely release their player when an overseas offer comes through?
