Chiefs looking at the Belgian Coach for Steve's compe
With Amakhosi fans and supporters calling for Head Coach Steve Komphela to quit or the club to terminate his contract. Chiefs seems to be out of the League title race after they lost 3-1 to their arch rivals Orlando Pirates last weekend, the only silverware they can win now this season, its the Nedbank Cup.
The Belgian, who penned a two-year deal with Ea Lla Koto in August, has bolstered his profile by transforming the club from regular relegation battlers to title contenders this season.
And while Eymael has a buyout clause in his contract and previously acknowledged interest from abroad in his services, he has downplayed talk he is on Chiefs' and SuperSport's radars.
"Every day I get calls from journalists asking me about the same question... blah blah blah and all these rumours," says the former Polokwane City coach.
"I still have a contract with Free State Stars. I have a buyout clause. I don't know anything about these rumours about Chiefs and SuperSport. If there is interest, [Stars boss] Rantsi [Mokoena] will be the first person to know. I will know. You know me, I am an honest person, I will tell you."
SuperSport parted ways with coach Eric Tinkler last weekend, while Steve Komphela's three-year contract with Chiefs expires at the end of the campaign.
