Benni McCarthy’s Frustration Got The Better Of Him – Reader’s Voice

Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City have been on the receiving end of some poor results, having failed to register a win in their previous four fixtures in the Absa Premier League.

The recent 1-1 all draw with Supersport United left Benni’s man with a grey face, teaching Cape Town City the oldest lesson in football 'if you don’t take your chances you will be punished'.

The manner in which City dropped points left Benni McCarthy frustrated with his players, he went as far as letting them know how he left in public. Benni had every right to be frustrated with his players.

These are professional footballers they should’ve known better not to concede a goal so late in the game. Experienced players know that when its five minutes left on the clock, you start implementing time-wasting tactics.

Keeping the ball on the corner flag as is one of those tactics, however, Cape Town City failed to do so and paid the price for that.
