South Africa can't be pushovers for forever
The Premier Soccer League [PSL] took a great and bold step- of taking the MultiChoice Diski Challenge from- mini groups into a thirty game season.
South Africa needs a serious age restricted league. The Amajita side has failed so dismally at the under 20 World Cup. Failed to match their counterparts pound for pound not because they were not tactically or technically astude, but lacked endurance. Although Thabo Senong had international players at his disposal, local based players didn't come to the party.
In a country where one blames the other- it is time the PSL gets the credit they fairly deserves. South Africa can't be push-overs for forever. National teams rely heavily in the domestic league. Their perfomances are a true reflection of our local league. If we are as good as we think we are- then the national teams should be able to compete and not just participate in the international front.
