'Pitso' Is Small With A Big Heart
A small framed Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Siphelele 'Pitso' Mkhulise, might be dimunitve but he has a big heart.
'Pitso' but not named after his coach, is surrounded by experienced campaigners at Chloorkop but he always raises his hand and be counted on. The dimunitive midfield maestro is showing signs of maturity everytime he takes to the field. Fighting for Pitso Mosimane' attention against seasoned campaigners like Andile Jali, Tiyani Mabunda and skipper Hlompho Kekana is already a tough task for the young Mkhulise.
Mamelodi Sundowns carpet football suits Mkhulise' style as he doesn't have to fight for aerial balls. In the absence of Kekana and Mabunda, Mkhulise makes Bafana Ba Style ticks. His spead and attentiveness unlock ring of steel defences. 'Pitso' style is easy on the eye. Mosimane is doing a great job in grooming young players in Chloorkop. With the core of his squad aging Mosimane needs more young blood for the future.
Taking a leaf out of Percy Tau' inspirational tale, Mkhulise, saw Tau growing to attain greater heights and could follow in Club Brugge superstar footsteps. Mkhulise is forced to grow at a rapid rate if he wants to cement his spot in the starting line up. A star studded team like Sundowns can consume Mkhulise like a peanut should he lie on his lurels.
Mkhulise should not be a one match wonder. Consisetency is everything in football. He has gratuated through the clubs youthful ranks and should be familiar with the club culture. The future looks bright for 'Pitso.'
