Mourinho wants to win it for his forefathers
Orlando Pirates assistant coach- Rhulani 'Mourinho' Mokoena- is a firm believer of consistency and not a fan of microwave processes [quick fixes] as they barely yield results.
Pirates has finished last season on a high note after finishing second on the log which automatically qualified them into the CAF Champions League. Prior finishing second The Mighty Buccaneers finished outside the top eight for the first time in the Premier Soccer League history the season before last- claiming the eleventh position- which is a rare deed at Houghton.
Without taking anything away from coach Melutin Sredojevic- 'Mourinho' has been on the spot light as the mastermind behind Pirates' great performances. Bucs are well within a touching distance to clinch the league. Although Mokoena's former employers- Mamelodi Sundowns are Pirates greatest rivals in their quest to win the league- but Pirates has the upper hand over the defending champions.
The grandchild of Pirates legend Eric 'Scara' Sono- Mokoena has won a lot of trophies with Sundowns and it is an open secret that- he would cherish winning something with a club so close to his roots.
Despite the league going down to the wire- this one is going down the fire.
