Besides being a fan favorite, Amakhosi's Hendrick Pule Ekstein may have to work harder and convince coach, Steve Komphela that, he's worth enough a place in his starting XI. And if he's to prove that, it better be ASAP.
The reason is that Keagan Buchanan is recovering from injury and it’s no doubt that, upon return, he will claim the starting berth ahead of inexperienced Ekstein. Hence, Pule should grab this chance with both hands and convince Komphela that he can do better, while Buchanan is still recovering.
On the other hand, Chiefs are heavily linked with Black Leopards star, Siphelele Ntshangase, who also has good attacking ability. Should the rumors turn out to be true, that will also be a problem for Ekstein.
Honestly, Ekstein can't afford to miss out, especially after spending a lot of time on the bench, knowing that he couldn't manage to emulate Chiefs’ ex maestro, Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
Having said that, do you think Ekstein must prove to Steve that he deserves the starting berth, before Buchanan recovers?
