After three previous attempts Kaizer Chiefs won their first and only Carling Black Label Cup in 2013.
Lehlohonolo Majoro, who now finds himself on Orlando Pirates books, was the hero for Chiefs that day. In the 39th minute Majoro, who looked to be in an offside position, slammed the ball into the back of the net after Bernard Parker’s header rebounded off the cross bar. The goal stood, Pirates fought for an equaliser but it was not to be, the Amakhosi ran out 1-0 winners and lifted the trophy for the first time.
