The 18-year-old Vinicius Junior, who joined Madrid last year after the Spanish team paid €45 million (R703 545 295,50) to Brazilian club Flamengo, took to his Twitter Account to share his road to recovery.
He was optimistic and captioned his post “With steady steps I always fight because I see no other way to get what I want without trusting me and what I am able to do! nikefootball”
In the pic, he can be seen with crutches and sports trendy, pink Nike sneakers.
The skilful Brazilian left the field in tears after suffering an injury in Los Blancos’ 4-1 defeat to Dutch side, Ajax Amsterdam.
Real Madrid said exams showed a ligament tear in his right ankle.
The club did not say how much time Vinicius Junior will need to recover, but Spanish media said similar injuries usually keep players sidelined for about eight weeks.
Vinicius will be hoping to be fit in time to impress returning manager, Zinedine Zidane as he looks to cement his place in the Real starting XI.
