Now that all 16 PSL teams have finalised their squads and registered their players, we can take a look back at the transfer window and sum it up. What are your thoughts on the matter?
Once again, there was a large portion of players moving around between clubs, and we even saw the return of Tefu Mashamaite and Anele Ngcongca to the Absa Premiership.
Today, we take a look at four factors pertaining to the 2016 winter transfer market in South Africa.
Best Transfer Market – Mamelodi Sundowns
If the arrivals of Sibusiso Vilakazi and Ngcongca weren't already convincing, the club also snapped up the services of Lucky Mohomi, Yannick Zakri, Thapelo Morena and Ricardo Nascimento.
Most Confused Transfer Market – Orlando Pirates
The Buccaneers brought in a host of players, and then sent some of them away. They then brought in more, and sent others on loan. They had also reportedly signed James Okwuosa, before things turned sour and he re-signed for Chippa United.
Most Underwhelming Transfer Market – Kaizer Chiefs
Despite having brought in 10 new players, most of them are arguably not regarded as Chiefs quality. This has been coupled with the two successive defeats at the start of the season.
Most Underrated Transfer Market – Bidvest Wits
The Clever Boys went about their business quietly, but managed to add further quality to their team with the arrivals of Cuthbert Malajila, Gabadinho Mhango, Mogakolodi Ngele, Darren Keet and Eleazar Rodgers.
Do you agree with the above, or would you change anything?
