Orlando Pirates dropped points for the first time this year, but could that dent their hopes of catching Kaizer Chiefs?
The Buccaneers started like a house on fire against Free State Stars, as Kermit Erasmus scored his eighth goal of the season, finishing of a well-worked passing move.
However, the Performance from Pirates seemed to have dropped after going ahead, as Stars managed to bring themselves back in the game and claim a well deserved point, courtesy of superb finish from Moeketsi Sekola.
However, Pirates now shift their focus to Saturday's Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs, as they look to close the gap on their rivals.
The Three Who Impressed:
Mpho Makola - Another impressive showing from the midfielder, he was a constant threat on the ball and set up Erasmus for the game's opening goal.
Thabo Rakhale - Deputised for the suspended Sifiso Myeni and impressed on the right flank, he was not afraid to take his man on and was also involved in Erasmus' goal.
Issa Sarr - The midfielder put in a solid showing for Pirates, especially when his side were on the back foot and protected the back four as well.
The Three Who Disappointed:
Oupa Manyisa - Not the best of games for the Pirates skipper, who had very little influence on the game.
Thabo Matlaba - Mixed reviews for Matlaba, he did well in defence but was poor going forward, often making the wrong decision with regards to the final ball.
Lennox Bacela - Failed to take his opportunity in the absence of Majoro and hardly had any efforts on goal.
