Orlando Pirates racked up yet another win in 2015 with their 3-1 victory over Polokwane City, but who were the three best and worst players on the night?
This was probably Pirates' best game in a while, the first goal came from a blistering counter attack which was finish by Mpho Makola.
Kermit Erasmus continues to prove his goal-scoring abilities in the absence of Lehlohonolo Majoro and our skipper, Oupa Manyisa, also got his name on the score-sheet.
This was our fourth straight league win. Could the Buccaneers be embarking on a unbeaten run of their own? Only time will tell.
The Three Who Impressed:
Thabo Matlaba - He was back to his best tonight, bombing down the wing, terrorising opposition wingers, he also won the penalty for Pirates and he picked up the Man of the Match award.
Mpho Makola - Looks to be relishing in the number 10 role, got his name on the score-sheet with a fine finish in the first minute and was impressive throughout.
Oupa Manyisa - Our captain looks back to his usual self, he was among the goals in the first half and picked up an assist for Makola's goal and played a key role in Pirates' dominance in the first half.
The Three Who Disappointed:
Siyabonga Sangweni - Mixed views for Sangweni, made a few reckless challenges in and around the 18 area, although Pirates were not punished, maybe Tinkler could give Tshepo Gumede a run in the side.
Thandani Ntshumayelo - Not the best of games for the Pirates midfielder and really struggled in the second half when Polokwane had their best spell.
Sifiso Myeni - He was frustrating to watch at times and should have got his name on the score-sheet but decided to dabble on the ball instead of shooting.
