Orlando Pirates' pursuit of second place took a dent after they lost 2-0 Bidvest Wits, but who were the best and worst performers on the night?
Pirates were punished for some poor defending in the first half, firstly, Patrick Phungwayo's poor back-pass was punished by Calvin Kadi, while poor positioning did not help the boys for the second goal.
We can only hope that Mamelodi Sundowns drop points against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday, if we stand any chance of finishing second and clinching a CAF Champions League spot.
The Three Who Impressed:
Sifiso Myeni - Our liveliest players on the night, managed to go on a few surging and went close with a effort from distance in the second half.
Rooi Mahamutsa - Was given a tough time by the Wits attackers but didn't do too badly. considering the goals from defensive errors.
Happy Jele - It was tough to find players who did impress but Jele was solid for most parts of the game.
The Three Who Disappointed:
Issa Sarr - Not the best of showings from our Senegalese star, gave the ball away on numerous occasions and was eventually replaced in the second half.
Lehlohonolo Majoro - It proved to be a frustrating evening for 'Major' but he should have scored shortly after the halftime break.
Patrick Phungwayo - Was at fault for Pirates' first goal with a poor back-pass and never really settled in the game, his communication needed to be a bit better.
