Mamelodi Sundowns took one step close to securing silverware this season after reaching the Nedbank Cup semi-final, can Pitso Mosimane's side go all the way?
Our boys put in a much better showing against Mpumalanga Black Aces than they did on Wednesday night, but it took them a while to break the deadlock.
However, the goals eventually came courtesy of a free-kick from Teko Modise and a composed finish from Themba Zwane, as the Brazilians marched on to the next round.
The Three Who Impressed:
Themba Zwane - Put in an impressive showing down the right flank, managed to get his name on the score-sheet and picked up the Man of the Match award. Which was fully deserved.
Teko Modise - Controlled the play for Sundowns from the middle of the park and popped with a wonderful opening goal.
Khama Billiat - Was one of our liveliest players on the park but was let down by his finishing, dribbling past players and creating chances but he could have had two goals of his own.
The Three Who Disappointed:
Cuthbert Malajila - It proved to be a quiet game for the our top-scorer, while he also had a goal ruled out in the first half.
Hlompho Kekana - Although he looked solid in the middle of the park, his rash challenges nearly got him sent off.
Percy Tau - He didn't have a bad game, looked good in patches but hardly put a foot wrong and was replaced in the 74th minute.
