The names mentioned on this list have no doubt set the Absa Premiership alight with their fine form in front of goal. Let’s now take a look at the strikers who are well on the way to hitting the 15-goal mark in the league.
Puleng Tlolane – Polokwane City (8 goals)
The Rise and Shine hitman surprised many this season and wasn't expected to feature so high up on the scoring charts. Tlolane seems to be relishing in coach Kosta Papic’s tiki-taka style of football, and his eight goals puts him in a prime position to reach the 15-goal mark.
Lehlohonolo Majoro –Orlando Pirates (8 goals)
At the moment, Major looks to be the player most likely to reach the 15-goal mark first, and should he continue in this fashion, we may even see him scoring close to 20 goals this season. By far the most in-form striker in South Africa, Majoro could be a strong contender for the Lesley Manyathela award come the end of the season.
Moeketsi Sekola – Free State Stars (8 goals)
Like Tlolane, not many expected Sekola to be amongst the players who would be challenging for the top goal scorer's spot in the league. In the process, the Free State Stars man has caught the attention of both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, and it remains to be seen how far the striker will go this season.
Cuthbert Malajila –Mamelodi Sundowns (7 goals)
Malajila is enjoying a wonderful season so far as the club's first choice striker, and has been one of many inform players at Chloorkop. What may have aided his spike in form is the creative supply he gets from Anthony Laffor, Teko Modise and Khama Billiat. Could his partners assist him all the way to 15 goals and beyond this season?
Who do you think will reach the 15-goal tally first?
