Radamel Falcao – Porto to Atletico Madrid
Profit: £36 million
In 2009 Radamel Falcao joined Porto in the Portuguese league from Argentina-based side River Plate for £5 million. The Colombian had a fantastic goal scoring record in Portugal and later got sold to Atletico Madrid for £41 million.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Inter to Barcelona
Profit: £38 million
The now Paris Saint-Germain striker had a lavish career in Serie A with Inter Milan. He cost the Italian club £22 million pounds, but got sold for £60 million when Barcelona came knocking.
Angel Di Maria – Real Madrid to Manchester United
Profit: £39.7 million
Arguably one of Real Madrid’s players of the season last year, amazingly only cost the club £20million from Benfica. Last season the Argentine got sold to Manchester United for a British record fee of £59.7 million
Edison Cavani – Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain
Profit: £41
Cavani is one of the most sought-after strikers in the world and back in 2010 he only cost Napoli £14 million. After some stellar seasons at the club, he moved to PSG for a crazy fee of £55 million.
Hernan Crespo – Parma to Lazio
Profit: £42 million
In 2000 Crespo became the world’s most expensive player after he got sold to Lazio for £44million, after only costing Parma £2 million.
