My beloved Sundowns are back and they started 2015 the best way possible, with a 4-1 win over Swallows on Tuesday.
At first things were calm, but suddenly the Brazilians exploded into action and four goals in 13 minutes was the result.
To be honest there was no ways the Birds were coming back into this after that.
They did manage to pull one back through our very own Nomandela, but they needed a penalty kick to beat Onyango, who had very little to do in the game apart from try and stop the spot shot.
Three players in particular were dynamite for me:
1) TEKO MODISE: I capitalized his name on purpose, because he deserves extra credit. It seems no matter how good he is, people have written him off. He should be in Bafana. He is Mzansi's best.
2) Siyanda Zwane: Where did he come from? Yoh! What a performance from the former Arrows player. When he signed, all the attention was on Bongi Ntuli, but Zwane made a big impact down the right.
3) Anthony Laffor: What a player on his day. The former Liberian captain showed glimpses of magic, and while he didn't get on the scoreboard, always looked dangerous.
And that's how good we we were, that my top three players didn't include Malajila who got a brace, Schut who scored a great header, or the midfielders Zungu and Mahachi who are Sundowns' future and looked great.
