Twenty years ago, Mark Fish signed for Lazio to join a growing list of South Africans who moved to Italy, but which footballers from Mzansi have played in Bella Italia? Let's find out!
After Bafana Bafana's success in the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations, a number of Mzansi's national team stars made the move to the European county.
Mark Fish, David Nyathi, Phil Masinga and Eric Tinkler all secured transfers to Serie A clubs, while Siyabonga Nomvethe signed for Udinese in 2001.
The stars of '96 weren't the first South Africans to have plied their trade in Italy, though. South African-born Eddie Firmani may have been born in Cape Town, but he represented the Italian national team between 1956 and 1958.
