There are several South Africans playing in the United States who don't get the attention they deserve, but did you know one of them had dinner with Didier Drogba last night? Check it out!
The Ivorian is one of the biggest legends in African football, and he is currently a shareholder and player at Phoenix Rising in the United Soccer League. However, were you aware that one of his teammates is South African?
Former Bidvest Wits midfielder Miguel Timm is on the books of the Arizona-based club, which is also owned by famous DJ Diplo.
Phoenix were in action last night, and they needed two goals from Drogba to help secure a 2-2 draw against Swope Park Rangers. To mark their hard-fought performance, a few of the players went out for dinner.
Timm and Drogba sat directly opposite each other at the table, but that's not all! Timm also faced fellow South African Lebo Moloto during the game, and they swopped jerseys.
