Former Bafana Bafana and Santos goalkeeper Wayne Roberts saw his name broadcast across social platforms last week after a photo of him being charged for possession of drugs went viral, and he has since spoken out about it. Did you see what he had to say?
The shot-stopper, who turns 41 years old later this year, is known to have to have battled drug addiction throughout his career, which often resulted in him going AWOL whilst in camp.
Late last week, an image of Roberts started to do the round of him holding up a piece of paper which declared him arrested for the possession of drugs. It also showed a person who looked ragged, tired and out of it, however, it has since been declared as a fake.

Roberts spoke to Gershwin Coetzee about the picture circulating around the internet and how it made him feel, especially when he had to explain it to his children.
He did also go on to reveal that he had in fact been arrested for drug possession, but that was back in 2001.
