With the PSL transfer window fast approaching, we look at five players who have been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs.
Mitchell Katsvairo & Edmore Chirambadare – Chicken Inn
It was recently reported that Amakhosi are looking to bring 26-year-old Katsvairo in for the 2016/17 campaign, along with his teammate, 24-year-old Chirambadare. Chiefs' forwards were out of sorts this season, and the likes of Bongani Ndulula and Siphelele Mthembu have been linked with exits.
Evans Rusike – Maritzburg United
The Glamour Boys have also been heavily linked with Maritzburg's Zimbabwean forward, who contributed to 13 goals in 27 matches in the PSL this season. The 2015/16 campaign was Rusike’s first in South Africa, and there is no doubt that he impressed.
Lewis Macha – Ferroviario de Maputo
It was recently reported that Chiefs are eyeing Macha, a Zambian striker currently playing in Mozambique. The striker has reportedly been fully scouted by Amakhosi, and could be near to a deal. It is believed that former Chiefs striker Wedson Nyirenda is arranging the deal as he knows both the striker and the club.
Ahmed Toure – Asante Kotoko
The Ivorian was on trial at Chiefs earlier this year, and it is believed he impressed enough to earn himself a deal with the Glamour Boys. Amakhosi's strikers struggled in front of goal this season, with midfielder Willard Katsande ending the campaign as the team's top scorer, with eight strikes.
Sibusiso Vilakazi – Bidvest Wits
The Bafana Bafana international has also been heavily linked with Amakhosi, and according to Transfermarkt, he is valued at about R7.8 million. Although he isn't a natural striker, Vilakazi scored seven league goals for the Clever Boys this season and has a contract with the club until 2018.
