On loan from Mamelodi Sundowns this season, Musa Nyatama has been a standout performer for Bloemfontein Celtic and has without a doubt shown his parent club why they had initially shown interest.
With competition for places being fierce in the Downs midfield, Nyatama was sent out on loan for the 2014/2015 Absa Premiership season. However, will his recent showings for Phunya Sele Sele convince the Downs technical staff to recall the player?
Well, if his recent performance for Celtic against us in that embarrassing 5-0 defeat is anything to go by, then yes… we should recall the midfield grafter.
He would be a wonderful helper in midfield as Hlompho Kekana is the only authentic hard man in the team, and sharing that type of duty with Kekana can only benefit the team.
In the loss to Celtic a couple of days ago, Nyatama showed us a side of him that we never thought he had.
As a holding midfielder, one would never imagine Nyatama being the type of player to show off tricks and flicks. On the night, he gave winger Lindokuhle Mbatha a shibobo to remember, much to the delight of the Celtic supporters.
It’s this type of edge that we could well need going into the next Premier Soccer League season, after falling short this time around to Kaizer Chiefs - who will seemingly clinch the league trophy.
Do you think he should return to Chloorkop?
