Breaking news!! In the latest twist to the Bafana Bafana coach tale, the South African Football Association have appointed disgraced former FIFA president Sepp Blatter to help secure a coach for the national team! Find out more…
The 81-year-old has fallen off the radar since he resigned from his duties at FIFA following a corruption scandal in 2015, but he has decided to come out of “retirement” to help SAFA secure a coach.
Blatter worked closely alongside Danny Jordaan during the bid for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and after forming a good working relationship, the two have decided to partner up for one last time.
It has been confirmed that SuperSport United have granted Stuart Baxter permission hold talks with SAFA over the possible position, and Blatter’s arrival is expected to make things easier given his experience in football.
The respective parties are expected to meet on tomorrow (Sunday) at SAFA house, as SSU host Baroka on later this afternoon.
Blatter is still serving out his six-year ban from all football-related activities, but he was given special dispensation given the desperate situation SAFA find themselves in.
JUST KIDDING – April Fools! We hope you enjoyed this prank. Do you think SAFA should hire an outside party to assist in securing Baxter as Bafana coach?
