Ronaldo Removed Off FIFA 19 Cover – Here’s Why!

With Juventus superstar being chosen as the player to star on the FIFA19 gaming cover last year, the ex-Manchester United man was recently removed as the face of the world renowned game. EA Sports has since explained why they had done so. Check it out!

Initially, Ronaldo was made the poster boy of the infamous game some time before he signed for the Italian giants and at the time still donned the colours of Real Madrid.

The developers thus redesigned the cover with him sporting the Juventus kit instead. Nonetheless, in news that captivated the football fraternity, CR7 was accused of rape by his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Mayorga.

FIFA19’s new cover:

With news outlets speculating that Ronaldo was removed from the FIFA Cover as a result of the allegations, EA Sports has since explained why they had replaced the Portuguese as the poster boy.

Speaking AS Football, EA Sports said, ““We are giving prominence to some of the biggest stars in the world of football.”

With other players being given chance to be on the FIFA19 cover, do you think Ronaldo should be removed from the gaming poster amidst the rape allegations?
