There has been a lot of talk recently about David De Gea’s future at Manchester United. His contract currently runs until the end of 2016.
There has been no sign of a contract extension just yet, and it's also very clear that Real Madrid have their eye on him. De Gea is probably United's prized assist at the moment, and losing him could be a massive blow, but today we thought we would look at possible replacements.
The Uruguayan number one currently plays for Galatasary in Turkey. He has 61 international caps and has really impressed when playing for the national side. The 28-year-old is a accomplished shot stopper and knows his game well.
The Italian has been brilliant for Paris Saint Germain over the past few seasons and his performances have even secured him a few caps for the national team. Since joining PSG the 29-year-old has played 161 matches for his club and has kept 71 cleansheets.
Lloris is the Tottenham Hotspur and French national captain. He has played in England for a few season now and has steadily improved. He is a well balanced keeper and play’s according to his strengths. He is a natural shot-stopper and could fill De Gea’s void quite easily.
Since arriving back in England, Forster has really been a surprise package. This season alone he has 14 cleansheets, and seeing that he isn’t playing for one of the traditional big clubs just shows you how good he has been. He has won three England caps and could actually be Joe Hart's replacement in the next few years.
Who would you like to see replace De Gea if he does leave?
