The Fan Park Crew decided to have a look at some of Europe’s finest stars, and choose five players who are the biggest fan favourites.
Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid
It seems as though when he’s out of form, which could even be just one game without a goal, all Real Madrid fans want him out - but when he’s in form, he is the best player to have ever lived. On his current form, Cristiano Ronaldo is the supporters’ favourite player, as he’s scored seven goals in their last three games.
Marouane Fellaini – Manchester United
Last year it seemed as though he could’ve maybe been regarded as one of Manchester United’s worst ever signings, but at the moment, Marouane Fellaini is one of the team’s most important players. The fans love how involved he is and how he rattles up defenders, and it’s fair to say that the Belgian is far more effective in United’s attack, rather than playing deep in midfield.
Olivier Giroud – Arsenal
The Gunners have had trouble up front in their last few seasons, as they haven’t had a proper goal scorer that they can boast about since Robin Van Persie. However, Giroud is now that man, with fans feeling it’s unnecessary for Arsene Wenger to target a new striker in the summer. The Frenchman has scored seven goals in their last seven games.
Lionel Messi – Barcelona
Even when the Argentine goes on a goalless run, the Catalan club’s fans always back their star. Messi has been at the forefront of all of Barcelona’s success in the last 10 seasons, and I’m sure he’ll remain their hero, even after he retires.
Carlos Tevez –Juventus
The former Manchester City striker has been superb this season, and the fans will be wishing for their leading striker to return from his current injury as soon as possible. Tevez has scored 17 goals this season for Juventus, making him one of the club’s favourite stars.
Can you name any other players who are real fan favourites?
