Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Mark Williams, believes that either Pitso Mosimane needs to find a way to make the players gel, or the club must find a new coach that can do the duty.
In a continuation of yesterday’s interview, the 48-year-old tells Fan Park’s editor Rossella Marrai that the club needs to form a foundation of a smaller group of players, and send away the ones who are ‘on a holiday and eating money’.
When asked what transfers he thought could occur at Downs ahead of next season, Williams responded by saying: “Sundowns? They have enough players… I think they just need a coach that can pull those players together.
“That is just my opinion, that has nothing to do with the coach.
“The coach needs to pick the right players, and to tell the other players that are sitting there having a holiday and eating money, that they need to go to a club where they can play.”
The club is notorious for making unnecessary signings and it was once recorded that the Brazilians had 67 players on their books in one season.
Do you agree with this? Should the Bafana Bastyle change coach and get rid of half the players? Tune into Fan Park at 2pm to see what Williams says about how Chiefs are playing with their players minds.
