Former Orlando Pirates winger Lebohang Mokoena has revealed he is relishing the opportunity to do battle against his former club, and says he will pass off his experience to the younger lads at Ajax Cape Town. What can you expect from him?
The tricky 29-year-old will be hoping to make his debut for the Urban Warriors against his former club on Tuesday evening, and he spoke to Fan Park editor Rossella Marrai-Ricco about the challenge that awaits.
"It's any player's dream to play against a team like Pirates," Mokoena said.
"I have worked with the club before, and it is quite nice to share some of the experience with the boys in terms of culture at Pirates and the system they always use.
"I don't think much has changed in terms of how Pirates play; how they use their wingers and how they always leave three at the back.
"Those are the kinds of things I share with the young boys…"
"Cheeseboy" also added that he thinks the Urban Warriors have it in them to steal victory at Cape Town Stadium.
"The only team that is going to be under pressure is Pirates, and it will take away the pressure from us," he continued.
"They also didn't do well in the MTN8, so they will be coming for us with guns blazing. We just need to stay firm.
"We know what we are doing, what we have been doing at training, and we will definitely get a result. I don't think we can lose the match against Pirates."
Do you think Ajax can pull off a victory over Pirates?
