Captain Tefu Mashamaite has been unshakable in defence for the club this season and has been one of the standout performers in the Premier Soccer League.
However, Masha has spoken fondly about a young gem making his way into the first team in the form of fellow centre-back Lorenzo Gordinho.
Masha told Soccer Laduma in an insert in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma that the 20-year-old defender has all the right tools in his shed to become a top defender at the club.
“He is still very young and has a great future. One good thing about him is that he is fast learner. He works very hard at training and is always learning from the experienced players. He is a good defender and, once his chance to play comes, people will see how good he is. He has a great future ahead of him,” Mashamaite said.
In a mini-interview with the youngster himself, Gordinho said in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma that he tries his best to learn from the experienced players in the team and will continue working hard.
“One cannot judge on past games that I didn’t play. Things can change from one game to another. I am not sure what is going to happen in the future, but I am willing to continue working hard. This is until my agent and the club decides on my future,” Gordinho said.
“Sometimes you need to patient if you want to achieve what you yearn for. At the moment, I enjoy learning from the great guys who have been superb,” he added.
