Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter announced that Lehlogonolo Masalesa is the national team captain for the COSAFA Cup, and he has since reacted to the news. Did you see it?
The former Orlando Pirates man spent the second half of 2016 clubless, before making a surprising move to Greek side, AE Larissa.
Since his move to Europe, the 25-year-old has rekindled the form and promise he displayed earlier in his career, and he swiftly worked his way into becoming a fan favourite.
It is because of his great campaign with the Greek outfit that he was named Bafana's skipper for the forthcoming tournament, and he couldn't help but thank greater powers for his change of fortune.
"The power of prayer is not in who is praying, but rather who the prayer is directed to... Therefore our prayers are always valid," he wrote in a post on Facebook.
"From nearly football obscurity six months ago to this! It can only be God!"
Are you happy to see Masalesa succeeding again?
