Former Moroka Swallows coach Zeca Marques believes that Mamelodi Sundowns have what it takes to be crowned CAF Champions League winners. Do you?
The Brazilians carry a 3-0 lead into Sunday's second leg in Alexandria, and he feels that Pitso Mosimane's team is more than capable of securing the highly sought-after star.
"Their first leg result? Huge! They are up 3-0, this is a two-tie game and there is a lot to play for. I think it is a huge advantage for them, and I think it plays in Sundowns' favour for a change," he told Fan Park editor Rossella Marrai-Ricco.
"Of course, there are some tricky dynamics playing in Egypt. It is intimidating, but I don't think it will get to that stage.
"All they need to do is score one goal – they are more than capable. They have got a great team; probably the best team in Africa at this stage, so the fact that they are in the final against Zamalek… They can do it.
"Only one team from South African has achieved (the star) and that is Pirates. Patrice Motsepe has put a lot of money in to win the Champions League in Africa, and it is so close!
"If I look at the technical team, the players and the energy around them club – everything is just gearing up for a win. And, obviously, if you take the South African support, they have one big tsunami wave heading towards them.
"Congratulations to them, it has been long overdue. I hope they win it."
