Hello fellow Buccaneers! Mamelodi Sundowns’ failure to secure the services of Oupa Manyisa may be a thing of the past, but the transfer saga certainly doesn’t seem like it is...
In today’s edition of Soccer Laduma, 907, the Siya crew revealed the reason behind why Manyisa’s transfer to Chloorkop fell through, citing that Dr Irvin Khoza wasn’t happy with the way the deal was plastered all over the media.
Outside of the deal being the most talked about event over the course of the summer transfer window, the Siya crew reported that Pirates were demanding a higher transfer price too.
Downs may not have secured Manyisa’s signature in January, but an opportunity to have the 26-year-old on their books next season is still highly probable.
Ace is currently in his final six months of his contract at Parktown and is still free to pen in a pre-contract with the Brazilians, provided he does not pen in an extension with the Bucs.
This is a positive for Patrice Motsepe, who could very well land him on a free transfer as Manyisa will be a free agent by the time the current 2014/15 season comes to a conclusion.
As a result, room for negotiations over a transfer is still possible and that means the saga between him, Sundowns and Pirates is still not finished as a new deal could be struck.
Do you think this transfer is far from over or not?
