On their day, both Orlando Pirates striker Lehlohonolo Majoro and Liverpool front man Mario Balotelli can be lethal and deadly. The number 45’s share striking similarities, including a maverick and out-going personality.
The Fan Park crew will now give insights as to why Balotelli is Major’s favourite player.
In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, issue 907, Major said that he shares the same dedication and commitment as Balotelli, and that many have compared him to the Italian superstar.
“When I was at Kaizer Chiefs, people would compare me with him in terms of our play. During his Manchester City days, he was very productive,” Majoro said.
"He tried by all means to be team player. When he went to AC Milan, he also did the same thing. He’s a very forceful individual who really believes in himself. I think we share that dedication and commitment in both our games,” he added.
Having scored nine goals in just seven starts, in all competitions, for Pirates this season, Majoro is a player who cannot be stopped once he gets going. The same can be said for Balotelli, because once the Italian is in his stride and on form - it is difficult to slow him down.
Comparing Major to Balotelli, do you think Majoro can emulate his idol and become one of the best strikers this country has seen?
