In response to Thick Skull's assertion that the scathing criticism Majoro received from Mashaba could destroy him, I tend to disagree.
In Bafana's match against Swaziland on Wednesday night, Majoro was taken off just before half time, with coach Shakes Mashaba criticising the Pirates striker for ‘never exerting himself and letting the other striker play alone in that area.’
However, rather than this destroying him, I suggest that Majoro will take it on the chin and continue his good form domestically. Ballojoro, as he is affectionately known, has proven his resilience in recent seasons…
Since his controversial celebration in the colours of Kaizer Chiefs, where he revealed a message that read: "I've got balz" in response to his detractors, Majoro has shown he has a backbone…
He continued in great form for Amakhosi before joining Orlando Pirates, where he met another obstacle in the shape of his former coach Vladimir Vermezovic, who denied him game time for most of his short tenure.
Since VV’s resignation last December, Majoro has been back amongst the goals – his confidence undented.
I think Majoro will come out of Mashaba's criticism all right, do you?
