Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande recently recalled when FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo made their first steps on to a field on their way to greatness. Check out what he posted.

Perhaps Katsande was trying to draw inspiration from these two giants of world football – he'd posted these history-defining moments before Chiefs' 3-1 Telkom Knockout loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.

They were moments when football changed forever, and it appears Katsande agrees. It was Ronaldo coming on for Nicky Butt at Manchester United in 2003, and it was Messi replacing Deco at Barcelona in 2004.
