No matter where you are in the world, home will always be home. This was evident with France-based Bafana Bafana star Lebo Phiri who not only received a special visitor but he also received an original Mzansi delicacy.
France has the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris and the Palace of Versailles but they do not have ‘skoppas.’
Those from Mzansi are familiar with this colorful delicacy also known as Amakip-kip. It consists food colouring and fresh corn that is hearted up and popped to perfection.
When the EA Guingamp midfielder’s mother paid him a visit in France, she had packed a few packets of ‘skopas’ in her bags.
The 24-year-old gushed about his special delivery on his Instagram account and captioned the post ‘Yebo!!!’
