The January window is now done and dusted, and the Fan Park Crew has decided to pick the four transfers which they thought were the best of the window.
Andre Schurrle - Chelsea to Wolfsburg
The World Cup winner was terrific in Brazil, despite making most of his appearances off the bench. He has the knack of scoring important goals wherever he plays, and we are sure that he will be a great signing for Wolfsburg - who recently hammered Bayern Munich.
Seydou Doumbia: CSKA Moscow to Roma
Seydou was one of the standout players for CSKA Moscow in the group stages of the Champions League, and it’s no surprise a bigger club has come calling for him. He has scored 10 goals already this season and is likely to score heaps more at Roma.
Gabriel Paulista - Villarreal to Arsenal
The Brazilian had to get special permission from the league before Arsenal could sign him, as he didn’t meet all criteria for a work permit. The 24-year-old is a wonderful talent and will certainly strengthen Arsenal defensively.
Lucas Silva - Cruzeiro to Real Madrid
A naturally defensive midfielder is something we don’t see too often, but Real Madrid have just that in Lucas Silva. He made 66 appearances for his club side in Brazil and helped them lift the league title for two second consecutive years. The 13 million Euro pricetag is an absolute bargain, for a youngster with his talent.
