With the new season fast approaching, we looked at Muhsin Ertugral's Orlando Pirates, and the club's strongest possible line-up!
The former Ajax Cape Town and Kaizer Chiefs boss was appointed as the Buccaneers' head coach in June, and he revealed that he did not have to think twice about saying yes to the PSL giants' offer.
However, with the side having strengthened in some key areas in this transfer window, Ertugral might have to think long and hard when it comes to selecting his team's strongest starting XI.
We put together a decent side below, without the newly signed Abbubaker Mobara, but Riyaad Norodien does get into the team, on the left-hand side of midfield.
This side could mount a good challenge for the PSL title next season, especially with captain Oupa Manyisa back in the centre of the park!
Here is the team in a 4-1-3-2 formation:
GK: Brighton Mhlongo
RB: Happy Jele
CB: Ayanda Gcaba
CB: Edwin Gyimah
LB: Thabo Matlaba
DM: Issa Sarr
CM: Oupa Manyisa
RW: Thabo Rakhale
LW: Riyaad Norodien (signed from Ajax Cape Town)
CAM: Mpho Makola
ST: Tendai Ndoro
Could this be Pirates' strongest XI?
