Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has stopped driving Lamborghini sports cars because he believes they may be the cause of his latest string of injuries.
The Welshman recently joined Auto Vivendi Supercar Club – for those who don't know what it is, it's an exclusive club which allows him to use top-of-the-range sports cars whenever he visits the UK.
According to Wales Online, the 26-year-old is believed to have cancelled his membership with the company after claiming that driving more than an half an hour in a Lamborghini played "havoc with his hamstrings".
The car club, which costs about R676 000 a year to be a member, has refused to comment on what Bale said and also refused to say whether he actually cancelled his membership or not.
The Los Blancos star is a massive fan of supercars and was once seen posing alongside a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster and a Ferrari worth R6 million.
Do you think we will start seeing more footballers blame their injuries on their fast cars?
