Orlando Pirates have announced the arrival of three players ahead of the second half of the season, but how much would they have cost? Let's take a look!
Club chairman Dr Irvin Khoza recently confirmed that the Sea Robbers had secured the signatures of three players with the hope of tightening up the backline and relieving pressure off Tendai Ndoro up front. However, what is unknown is whether or not these players are involved in direct swop deals.
Mark van Heerden and James Okwuosa, who was initially signed in June 2016 only to see the deal fall through, will both be making the move to Mayfair from Chippa United, along with Thembinkosi Lorch.
The latter will not have cost Bucs management anything as he was on loan with the Chilli Boys from Pirates, but the two defenders would not have come cheap if they were snapped up as a striaght-up buy.
If they did not form part of a swop deal, Khoza could very well have splashed out about R12 million if he paid Van Heerden and Okwuosa's full market values, according to Transfermarkt.
