Orlando Pirates have announced, just this morning, that they have agreed terms to sign Ajax Cape Town duo Riyaad Norodien and Abbubaker Mobara, as well as Bernard Morrison. But how much would they have set Bucs back by?
It had already been revealed that the club has made some headway in the market by signing four players and bringing back Thembinkosi Lorch from Cape Town All Stars, and now they have added three more impressive scoops to their roster.
It was Muhsin Ertugral who first launched Norodien and Mobara on to the scene at Ajax, and it comes as no surprise that the new Pirates coach has poached their services.
Norodien, who is just 21 years old, would have set Pirates back roughly R4.25 million, while Mobara would have cost the Soweto outfit double the amount, at about R8.5 million. These figures are according to their net worths on Transfermarkt.
Another new addition to the Sea Robbers' family is Ghanaian striker Morrison. The 23-year-old was also announced this morning after the club agreed terms with AS Vita.
The centre forward does not yet have an established value on Transfermarkt, so it remains to be seen how much the club have spent on securing his services.
In total, it is suspected that Dr Irvin Khosa has forked out about R12 million for the Ajax duo, plus extra for Morrison.
What do you make of these signings?
