With Oupa Manyisa possibly joining Mamelodi Sundowns this week, the Fan Park crew will analyse how Manyisa could fit in the squad, alongside names such as Keagan Dolly and Teko Modise.
In the midst of such big news, we almost forgot about one of the biggest deals that had already taken place. Dolly, who signed for Downs at the beginning of the season, is expected to rejoin the club at the end of the campaign after being loaned out to Ajax Cape Town.
So then, could the likes of Dolly, Manyisa and Modise fair in the same line up? The trio of stars are technically brilliant and love having the ball at their feet.
However it’s expected that players like Manyisa and Modise would be the ones making things tick in the middle of the park. Dolly is capable of playing as a winger and a number 10, and the presence of Ace and The Navigator could force Dolly to play in his natural left-wing role.
Ideally then, it would make perfect sense for either Manyisa or Modise to roam the middle of the park, with Dolly playing on either flanks. Downs strikers could also be licking their lips at this prospect, as all three of these names are proven and capable goal creators.
The energy of Manyisa, the passing of Modise and the craftiness of Dolly could be Downs' best weapons come next season.
Are you excited at this prospect?
