Bucs' goalkeeping department is officially in crisis. With 38 goals conceded this season, only two teams have let in more strikes past them – Golden Arrows and Highlands Park – and reports suggest that Kjell Jonevret could hand Emmanuel Daniel his debut.
So far, Brighton Mhlongo, Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Felipe Ovono and even Happy Jele have all turned out between the sticks for Pirates at some stage this season, and it seems that the Nigerian may be the sixth stopper to be capped by the club.
Dr Irvin Khoza is well aware that another season like this one will not bode well with the fans, and he will need to add reinforcements across the park.
