Earlier this season, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi played one of the best games of his career in the Soweto Derby, and fellow shot-stopper Itumeleng Khune has showed his appreciation for the Nigerian's efforts once again. Check it out!
Having come under much scrutiny by critics leading up to the tie against Orlando Pirates in February, the call was made for Akpeyi to put on a spectacle in the biggest game on the PSL calendar.
The Nigerian didn't disappoint and was the star in Amakhosi's 1-0 win over their bitter rivals. Whether it was point-blank saves or back-to-back shot-stopping, the Chiefs goalkeeper looked unplayable on the day.
That being said, "Itu" recently took to his social media accounts to post a tribute to Akpeyi, which he captioned: "Appreciation Post to @danielakpeyi. You've been brilliant brother. keep up the good work & #RESPECT."
