Giving Back: Xola Mlambo Launches Goals For Pads Initiative

In what is an amazing gesture towards women in the country, Orlando Pirates star midfielder, Xola Mlambo has pledged his support in the most incredible way. Check it out.

June 16 marks a special day in the history of South Africa. As part of this celebration, The June 16 Memorial Cup was launched.

Orlando Pirates star this year, formed part of the tournament by launching #goalsforpads

In a wonderful act of generosity, Mlambo will donate a pack of sanitary pads for every goal that is scored at the tournament.

The midfielder had a mixed season for the Bucs, starting off like a house on fire, then succumbing to injury later on which resulted in a loss of form.

The tournament kicks off on 25 May and the winners will walk away with R100 000 prize money.
