While Ada Hegerberg was honoured with the first women's Ballon d'Or award ever, her special night was somewhat ruined after the ceremony DJ asked her to twerk in celebration. Did you see it?
Well-known French DJ Martin Solveig was spinning the decks on the night, and just after Hegerberg was honoured with her award, Solveig asked her if she knew how to "twerk", which then caused a major backlash on social media.
Check it out:
Fans on social media felt the footballer was insulted, with some even feeling the incident could easily go down as sexual harassment.
Nonetheless, Hegerberg later said she did not take Solveig's comments as an insult, with the DJ also apologising for his actions as well.
Solveig took to Twitter to write: "Sincere apologies to the one I may have offended. My point was: I don't invite women to twerk but dance on a Sinatra song. Watch the full sequence. People who have followed me for 20 years know how respectful I am especially with women."

What do you make of the incident?
