Ireland international Seamus Coleman had his leg broken in two places after a horrible tackle from Wales defender Neil Taylor on Friday night.
The tackle and outcome of the challenge disgusted football fans all around the world, but we've seen similar incidents with other players across Europe.
Former FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves suffered a leg break at Juve in November last year, but luckily for him the injury wasn't as bad as Coleman's. Alves returned to action three months later, and has been a regular fixture in his side.
Demba Ba broke his leg in China last year, while Luke Shaw broke his leg at Manchester United in 2015, when Louis van Gaal was manager of the club.
Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez also suffered a leg break, which sadly saw him miss the 2014 FIFA World Cup with England.
Should Taylor receive further punishment for his tackle on Coleman?
