Aubrey Ngoma was the latest victim of crime in Mzansi with news having broken that his VW Golf was stolen in the early hours of this morning, but he isn’t the only footballer to have been a victim of crime. Can you think of others?
Crime has become an even bigger problem in South Africa and not even our local heroes are safe from it. As such, today, I take a look which players who had their cars nicked or been victims of crime.
When playing in League One in England, Khumalo was cleared of several sentimental items, including a bible his late mother had left him.
One of the more recent incidents to have rocked the football fraternity, Mathoho and his brothers were held at gunpoint. The robbers took their personal belongings and also fled with his car.

This occurred just a few days after Meyiwa’s murder. Gunmen rushed into Vilakazi’s home in Soweto, calling for his name while he was asleep.
